Tata Power-DDL Honors Solar Energy Consumers in Jaunti Village
New Delhi: Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL) organized an awards and recognition ceremony in Jaunti Village to honor consumers who have significantly contributed to promoting rooftop solar energy and other energy conservation initiatives. The event was held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, during the 22nd edition of Tata Volunteering Week at Sarvodaya Senior Secondary School, Jaunti Village.
The ceremony included a special workshop on solar energy, offering interested consumers detailed insights into the benefits and installation process of rooftop solar systems. To further promote energy conservation, Tata Power-DDL set up dedicated DSM product counters and rooftop solar inquiry and promotion stalls at the venue.
During the event, several solar energy consumers were honored for their contributions, and they shared their positive experiences with solar energy adoption. The Chief Guests, Ms. Ankita Anand, District Magistrate-North West, and Mr. Anant Dwivedi, SDM-North West, commended Tata Power-DDL’s consumers for their valuable efforts in promoting renewable energy within the community.
As part of the initiative, Tata Power-DDL provided information on various DSM products, including branded LED bulbs, tube lights, energy-efficient BLDC fans, and discounts of up to INR 3,500 on air conditioning equipment available at market rates. The event witnessed significant interest from consumers in adopting solar systems for their homes.
The Village Customer Group (VCG) team actively organizes workshops across different villages to educate and support consumers in energy conservation and solar power generation. Established in 2021, VCG plays a crucial role in Tata Power-DDL’s commercial, CSR, and customer support initiatives, contributing to the economic and social progress of rural communities.
The event was graced by Tata Power-DDL’s Chief Commercial, Ms. Kiran Gupta, along with key officials including Mr. Rahul Kumar, Head of SCG, VCG, CCG; Ms. Manisha Wadhwa, HoD-SCG & VCG; Mr. Bharat Chhabra, Chief-SIG; and Mr. Manish Goel, Circle Head Sub-Urban, Mr. Naveen Kumar, District Manager-Bawana, Zonal Operation Team among others. More than 200 village consumers participated in the event.
