Union Minister releases Special newsletter ‘Swachchhta Hi Sewa’
New Delhi : Union minister of state ( Independent) for Skill Development and Entrepreneur, Choudhary Jayant Singh released a special newsletter titled “Swacchta hi Seva” Sulabh International in collaboration with Ministry of Skill Developemnt and Entrepreneurship and ministry of Housing and Urban affairs marked the beginning of fortnight long “Swachhta hi Seva” Campaign on at Kaushal Bhawan on Thursday in New Delhi.
On the occasion, the secretary of the MSDE, Mr. Atul tiwari while addressing the gathering lauded the efforts of Sulabh International. He stressed the need for collaboration between organisations under MSDE and Sulabh.
This campaign includes series of special cleanliness events and initiatives aimed at honouring the prime Minister’s call for action for a Swachh Bharat .
Senior officials of the MSDE , including Mr. Nirambu Sharan,Senior Economic Adviser, Ms. TrishalJit Sethi, Additional Secretary and Director General ( Training), and Ms. Hanna Ushman, joint secretary attended this programme and expressed their views.
Sulabh aims to conduct a nation-wide “Swachhata Hi Seva “2024 campaign across 260 locations across India during Swacchata Pakhwara. Set around the theme of ‘Swabhav Swachhata Sanskaar Swachhata (4S)’, the campaign rolled out on 17th September and will culminate on 2nd October. 2024.
Kumar Dilip, the President of Sulabh International said, “ Swabhav Swachhata Sanskaar Swachhata (4S) campaign is deeply inspiring .we will do utmost to create a profound impact of his initiatives on the lives of millions across the country.”
Kumar added, “such campaign is a step towards fulfilling Prime Minister Modi’s vision of clean India. It’s also the wish of Sulabh movement Founder Late Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak.”
This year on Independence Day, Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi emphasized how Swachhata has become a fundamental aspect of daily life, driving significant changes in behaviour across the nation.
This year’s theme, Swabhav Swachhata Sanskaar Swachhata (4S) 2024, represents a shift towards fostering behavioural change. It emphasizes integrating cleanliness into daily habits and cultural practices, encouraging a modified attitude towards Swachhata as a core part of everyday life.
On the occasion, an exhibition of creations on the theme of cleanliness by the students of various colleges of Delhi University was also organised under Sulabh Sanitation club.
