Hundreds Avail Health Check-ups at Free Medical Camp Organised by Yuwa Foundation in Delhi

New Delhi: Marking the occasion of Republic Day, Yuva Foundation organised a free medical camp at Sant Nagar in the Burari Assembly constituency, where hundreds of residents underwent health check-ups. The camp combined preventive healthcare with an environmental awareness message through plant distribution, especially among children.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ajay Chaudhary, Senior Neurosurgeon and Head of Department at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, urged people of all age groups to prioritise their health. He advised waking up before sunrise and spending time in sunlight before 9:30 am to naturally absorb Vitamin D. Emphasising its importance, he also cautioned children against excessive mobile phone usage, noting that prolonged exposure to reels and screens can adversely affect eyesight and mental health.
More than a hundred people from different age groups attended the camp held at the Sant Nagar Cross Road and benefited from free consultations and check-ups. Dr. Arun Kumar Patel, a laparoscopic surgeon who examined several patients, highlighted the importance of maintaining a disciplined routine and healthy dietary habits.
As part of Yuva Foundation’s environmental initiative, saplings were distributed to guests and children to promote environmental consciousness. Young participants were encouraged to take responsibility for nurturing the plants and understanding the value of a healthy environment.

The medical camp also had the presence of a dental specialist and a physiotherapist, ensuring a wide range of basic health services. Additionally, Shanti Medicos arranged free blood sugar testing for attendees.
Nand Kishore Chaudhary, President of Yuwa Foundation, thanked the doctors, medical staff, and volunteers for making the service initiative successful. He expressed hope that the foundation would continue organising such public welfare activities in the future.
