Prime Minister Narendra Modi Speaks with Iran’s President

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephone conversation today with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian.
During the discussion, President Pezeshkian briefed the Prime Minister on the current situation in Iran and shared his perspective on the recent developments in the region.
Prime Minister Modi expressed deep concern over the evolving security situation in the region. He reiterated India’s consistent position that all issues should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that the safety and well-being of Indian citizens in Iran and across the region remain a top priority for India. He further highlighted the importance of ensuring the uninterrupted movement of energy supplies and trade in the region.
Both leaders agreed to remain in touch and continue consultations on the evolving regional situation.
