Haryana Assembly Election 2024 : Union Minister Manohar Lal Attacks Congress Over Ticket Distribution in Faridabad
Faridabad: Union Minister and former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal lashed out at the Congress party, criticizing its approach to ticket distribution. He stated that the disorganized and chaotic manner in which Congress is distributing tickets shows how the party operates. He accused Congress of relying on “setting and getting” for ticket allocation, which usually goes smoothly but has recently been causing significant delays, reflecting the party’s internal troubles.
On Monday, Manohar Lal visited the mini-secretariat in Sector-12, Faridabad, where he accompanied former minister and BJP candidate from Faridabad, Vipul Goel, and BJP candidate from Tigaon, Rajesh Nagar, to file their nominations. Union Minister of State Krishan Pal Gurjar was also present on the occasion.
Addressing a public gathering earlier, Manohar Lal criticized Congress, claiming that the party has given tickets to candidates with criminal backgrounds, including those who are currently in jail or under investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). He assured that BJP would soon announce its remaining candidates.
Manohar Lal further mentioned that 40 star campaigners, including the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers of neighboring states, and other senior leaders, would be involved in the campaign for Haryana. He blessed the BJP candidates and expressed confidence in BJP forming the government in Haryana for the third time.
He highlighted the unique culture of the BJP, stating that it is the only party where a former ticket holder can be seen fully supporting a new candidate if the ticket is reallocated. This was evident in Faridabad, where former MLA Narendra Gupta, whose ticket was given to former Industries Minister Vipul Goel, was actively supporting Goel’s campaign.
Manohar Lal’s remarks come as the BJP gears up for a tough electoral battle in Haryana, with the party’s second list of candidates expected to be released soon.
