Winners of the “Light and Shadow” Photography Competition Honoured at MERI College

New Delhi: A special photography workshop for students was organized at the Management Education & Research Institute (MERI College) on 27 August 2026 by Mr. Shyam Prasad, Director of Shoots & Shoots Photography and Film Academy, and Mr. Sondeep Shankar, photojournalist and senior faculty member.

Following the workshop, an on-the-spot photography competition on the theme “Light and Shadow” was organized for the students. Participants were required to capture photographs related to the theme within the college campus and submit them for the competition within one hour. Through this activity, the students demonstrated their creative thinking, observation skills, and photography abilities within a limited timeframe.

The results of the competition were announced on 15 September 2026. On this occasion, Mr. Shyam Prasad, Director of Shoots & Shoots Photography and Film Academy, and faculty member Mr. Rajesh Bhasin, Senior Photojournalist, visited MERI College and honoured the winning students by presenting them with certificates and prizes.

Mr. Shyam Prasad appreciated the creativity and efforts of the students and encouraged them to continue learning, experimenting, and developing their own distinctive creative vision in the field of photography.

The “Light and Shadow” competition provided students with a practical opportunity to understand how simple elements such as light and shadow can be creatively used to create impactful and meaningful photographs. The event proved to be an important opportunity for the students to learn, experiment, and showcase their creative talent.
