Nikita Porwal from Madhya Pradesh Becomes Miss India 2024, Set to Represent India at Miss World
Bhopal: Nikita Porwal, hailing from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, has been crowned Femina Miss India 2024. With this title, she will represent India at the Miss World competition. Reflecting on her achievement, Nikita stated that becoming Miss India was always her goal, which prompted her to start a career in modeling and theater. She mentioned, “I have played the role of Mata Sita in Ramleela multiple times. When I was younger, my mother often dressed me as Miss India for fancy dress competitions. Now I have actually become Miss India.”
Nikita is the daughter of Ashok Porwal, a petrochemical businessman from Ujjain. She completed her schooling in Ujjain and then pursued higher education elsewhere. Seven years ago, with dreams of becoming a film actress, Nikita moved to Mumbai after finishing her school education. Following her victory in the Miss India pageant, her family is in celebration, with a stream of well-wishers visiting their home in Arvind Nagar.
Prior to this, Nikita was also crowned Femina Miss India Madhya Pradesh in August 2024. The grand finale of Miss India 2024 took place on Wednesday night in Worli, Mumbai, where Nikita was chosen as the winner. Rekha Pandey from Dadra and Nagar Haveli was the first runner-up, and Ayushi Dholakia from Gujarat was the second runner-up. Nikita was selected among 29 beautiful contestants from across the country.
After winning the Miss India title, Nikita remarked that preparing for the competition was not an easy task. She attributed her achievements to her parents’ support and her determination. She also expressed her deep love for animals and her desire to make a significant impact for their welfare in the country. Nikita emphasized, “I want every human being to treat animals as kindly as they treat other humans. This world belongs to everyone, and all living beings have the right to live with dignity.”
