Hindu Rashtra Conference Concludes at Birthplace of Lord Buddha

Gaya (Bihar): With the blessings of the revered Jagadguru Shankaracharya Govardhan Peethadheeshwar Maharaj Ji, the Hindu Nation Conference was held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 (Kartik Shukla Paksha Ekadashi), at the birthplace of Lord Buddha in Ghejan village, Jehanabad district, Bihar. The event was organized under the guidance of Maharaj Ji’s disciple, Shri Premchandra Jha Ji, and featured scholars from across the nation who shared their insights.

As known in Sanatan tradition, Lord Buddha is considered the ninth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, born into a Brahmin family. The Bhagavatam also mentions that Lord Vishnu would incarnate in the Kikata region, identified as Gaya. Shri Premchandra Jha Ji presented an outline of Maharaj Ji’s campaign, encouraging weekly discussions and service initiatives to promote the vision of making India a Hindu nation.

Shri Premchandra Jha Ji remarked that Sanatan Dharma has suffered more in 76 years of independent India than during the periods of Mughal and British rule. He expressed that the Indian foundations of food, clothing, housing, education, marriage, celebrations, and even the Constitution do not align with traditional Indian values. He emphasized the need to declare India a Hindu nation to ensure the protection of cultural values.

Rajarama Sharma Ji highlighted that, according to Sanatan tradition, the ninth incarnation, Lord Buddha, was born in a poor Brahmin family in Ghejan village on the eastern bank of the Morhar River. Known as the “Buddha Avatar,” the incarnation is also mentioned in texts by the commentator of the Shrimad Bhagavatam, Sridhar Swami Maharaj Ji. Located 25 kilometers north of Gaya Dham, this site is 10 kilometers west of Makhdoompur Station in Jehanabad.

Professor Rajiv Kumar noted the distinction between this incarnation and Siddhartha, a Kshatriya from the Terai region in Nepal who later became known as Gautama Buddha. Both shared the Gautama gotra, which led to the followers of Siddhartha associating him with the ninth incarnation.

Shri Shailendra Kumar Sharma Ji emphasized that Siddhartha Gautama was born thousands of years after the original Buddha incarnation, in a different location and caste. Only the gotra was similar, which was later used to connect the two figures and declare Gautama Buddha as the ninth incarnation.

In his closing address, Shri Ramakant Sharma Ji expressed pride in hosting the Hindu Nation Conference at the birthplace of Lord Buddha, celebrating his legacy. Notable attendees included Ashok Pandey from Bokaro, Jharkhand, Bengali Yadav, Abhiraj Kumar Akela, and Shri Bageshwar Sharma Mukhiya Ji, with active contributions from Joginder Sharma, Dev Mishra, Ram Govind Pathak, Rahul Mishra, Bengali Yadav, Pramod Tiwari, and others.
