Kejriwal Making False Promises Out of Fear of Elections: Sachdeva

New Delhi: Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has termed the Kejriwal government’s announcement to increase the amount under the Women’s Respect Scheme from ₹1,000 to ₹2,100 as a deceptive tactic. He accused Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of making false promises to the people of Delhi due to his fear of losing the upcoming assembly elections.

In a video posted on social media platform X, Sachdeva questioned, “Your Highness of Lies, Arvind Kejriwal, answer this: Who governs Punjab? Even before the Punjab elections, you promised financial aid to mothers and sisters. Can you prove that even one rupee has been credited to anyone’s account? You constantly lament about an empty treasury. In Delhi, you had citizens fill out forms and promised payments by September. Now, you’re repeating the same empty promises.”

Sachdeva stated that with the assembly elections approaching, Kejriwal can foresee his defeat and is resorting to false promises to mislead the people of Delhi.

He added, “The people of Delhi are wise to your false propaganda. The citizens of Delhi and the country trust only one thing—Modi’s guarantee. The respect and welfare of daughters and mothers are upheld solely by Modi’s promises.”

The BJP leader further emphasized that the BJP never makes false promises. “We have been working consistently in Madhya Pradesh for years and are now undertaking initiatives for daughters and mothers in Chhattisgarh, Haryana, and Maharashtra,” he said.

Sachdeva criticized Kejriwal for failing to deliver on promises made in the Lok Sabha. He pointed out, “You had mothers and sisters register for schemes, but those promises were also left unfulfilled. The people of Delhi are aware of your deceitful pledges, and this time, AAP’s defeat in Delhi is inevitable.”
