‘Pushpa 2’ Becomes the Highest-Grossing Film of the Year

New Delhi : Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, has taken the box office by storm, setting new records within just eight days of its release. Audiences have showered immense love on the sequel, which continues to dominate weekdays as well as weekends with impressive earnings.

The film kickstarted its journey with a preview earning of ₹10.65 crore on the day before its official release. On its opening day, it amassed ₹164.25 crore, followed by ₹93.8 crore on the second day and ₹119.25 crore on the third day.

The momentum continued on the fourth day with a massive collection of ₹141 crore. The film earned ₹64.45 crore on its fifth day, ₹51.55 crore on its sixth day, and ₹43.55 crore on its seventh day. As per early estimates, the eighth day saw an additional ₹37.40 crore being added to the total.

‘Pushpa 2’ Smashes Records Across Languages
According to reports, Pushpa 2 has collected a staggering ₹725.75 crore across all languages within eight days. Here’s the breakdown:

  • Telugu: ₹241.9 crore
  • Hindi: ₹425.1 crore
  • Tamil: ₹41 crore
  • Kannada: ₹5.35 crore
  • Malayalam: ₹12.4 crore

Fastest Indian Film to Cross ₹1000 Crore Worldwide

The film has dethroned Baahubali 2 to become the fastest Indian movie to cross the ₹1000 crore mark globally. While Baahubali 2 achieved this milestone in 10–11 days, Pushpa 2 accomplished it in just seven days, setting a new benchmark for Indian cinema.

Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa 2: The Rule serves as the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. Alongside Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil plays a pivotal role in the film.

The overwhelming success of Pushpa 2 highlights Allu Arjun’s growing pan-India appeal and the film’s universal resonance, making it a cinematic phenomenon of 2024.
