Registration for ‘Mahila Samman Yojana’ Starts in Delhi

New Delhi: Registration for the ‘Women’s Honor Scheme’ has begun in Delhi from Monday. Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal distributed the Women’s Honor Scheme cards to women in Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi, on Monday. Following this, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers will begin registering women for the scheme and issuing cards across Delhi. During the launch, Kejriwal visited the homes of several women to explain the process and register them. Delhi Chief Minister Atishi was also present on the occasion.

Under this scheme, women will receive financial assistance of ₹1,000 per month. Arvind Kejriwal also announced that if AAP wins the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, this amount will be increased to ₹2,100 per month. This step is particularly significant for women from economically weaker sections who are struggling to meet their basic needs. Additionally, under the ‘Sanjeevani Scheme,’ the Delhi government will cover the entire medical expenses for individuals aged 60 and above who register.

The scheme involves the issuance of a ‘Kejriwal Kavach Card,’ which carries a message of respecting women’s rights along with a photo of Chief Minister Kejriwal. Through this card, women will receive ₹2,100 every month to meet their daily needs. To activate the card, there is a simple process where women only need to give a missed call to 70748 70748 to receive an activation code.

Since the launch of the scheme, many women have expressed their happiness.
