Kejriwal Criticizes BJP Over Attack on Saif Ali Khan
New Delhi : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal condemned the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan and criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday. Kejriwal questioned the state of security in the country, saying, “If renowned personalities in the country are not safe, how can the common man feel secure?”
During a press conference, Kejriwal pointed out that both Maharashtra and the central governments are led by the BJP, yet such incidents are occurring. He stated, “Earlier, Salman Khan was attacked, and Baba Siddique was murdered. The BJP’s ‘double-engine’ governments have failed to provide security. These governments are incapable of delivering good governance or ensuring safety for the people.”
Raising the Issue of Infiltration and Law and Order
Kejriwal also brought up the issue of Rohingya infiltration, accusing the BJP government of failing to curb illegal intrusions. He said, “Gangsters are committing murders openly in the country. The BJP-led central government, which was elected to ensure the safety of the country and Delhi, is engaging in dirty politics instead of fulfilling its responsibilities.”
He further alleged that a gangster operating from a jail in Gujarat is openly orchestrating crimes, and the government has been unable to stop it.
Security as a Major Poll Issue in Delhi
It is worth noting that the Aam Aadmi Party has made security a significant issue in the ongoing Delhi Assembly elections. The party has consistently criticized the central government, highlighting that Delhi Police functions under its jurisdiction, and has held it accountable for the deteriorating security situation in the capital.
Kejriwal’s remarks are expected to intensify the political debate over security and law enforcement in the country.
