CM Yogi and Education Minister to Inaugurate KTS-3 Today

Varanasi (UP): The third edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam (KTS-3.0) will be inaugurated at Namo Ghat. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting L. Murugan will attend as chief guests. The preparations for the event at the ghat have been completed. The first delegation, consisting of students, teachers, and writers, will arrive at Banaras railway station via a special train.

A red carpet welcome awaits the guests, with conch sounds, drumbeats, and traditional music accompanying the reception. Guests will be greeted with tilak and garlands before being transported to their hotels in e-buses. The delegation will take a holy dip in the Ganges at Hanuman Ghat, visit the residence of national poet Subramania Bharati, and seek blessings at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple before participating in the main event at Namo Ghat.

Event Theme: Sage Agastya
Approximately 1,500 attendees are expected, including 1,200 guests arriving in groups of 200 and around 300 distinguished individuals from South India, including writers, artists, and scholars. The event’s theme is Sage Agastya and the 2025 Mahakumbh.

A total of 75 stalls will be set up showcasing Kashi and Tamil traditions, including four dedicated stalls on Siddha medicine, a traditional healing system attributed to Sage Agastya.

Academic Sessions at BHU
Six academic sessions will be held at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) from February 16 to 22 as part of KTS-3. Delegates will tour historical sites and departments within the BHU campus. Prior to this, they will visit stalls at Namo Ghat, where they will learn about BHU and IIT-BHU. A dedicated publicity committee from BHU has been assigned this responsibility.

Union Education Minister’s Visit
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is scheduled to arrive at Babatpur Airport at 12:30 PM. He will head directly to BHU, rest briefly, and then reach Namo Ghat at 3:00 PM. He will leave for Prayagraj at 10:00 PM, stay overnight, and depart for Delhi after a holy dip at Sangam the next morning.

Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting L. Murugan will also arrive at 12:30 PM at Babatpur Airport, head to BHU, and later attend the Tamil Sangamam inauguration. He will leave for Chennai at 6:30 PM.

CM Yogi as Chief Guest
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will land at Police Lines at 1:30 PM and visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Baba Kalbhairav Temple before attending the Tamil Sangamam inauguration at 3:00 PM at Namo Ghat.
