Ajay Devgn’s ‘Raid 2’ Trailer Released; Set to Hit Theatres on May 1

Mumbai : Ajay Devgn, last seen in Singham Again—which didn’t perform exceptionally at the box office—is now all set to make a powerful comeback in Raid 2. The much-awaited sequel has finally dropped its thrilling trailer, heightening the excitement among fans. Ajay once again dons the role of a tough and honest officer who fearlessly takes on corruption head-on.

Raid 2 revolves around another high-profile income tax raid, packed with suspense and thrilling moments. Ajay reprises his role as IRS officer Amay Patnaik with the same intensity and commanding presence that won hearts in the original. His strong persona and hard-hitting dialogues in the trailer have already struck a chord with the audience.

Raid 2 is the sequel to the 2018 blockbuster Raid, which was based on a real-life income tax raid that took place in the 1980s at the residence of prominent Lucknow businessman Sardar Inder Singh. The original film starred Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz, Saurabh Shukla, and Sanand Verma, and was directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. It was critically acclaimed and commercially successful, grossing ₹153.62 crore against a budget of around ₹40 crore. Raid is currently available for streaming on Netflix.

Raid 2 is slated for a theatrical release on May 1, 2025. Once again, the film is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who helmed the first installment. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak.
