New Delhi : South superstar Allu Arjun’s much-anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule is making waves at the box office, breaking records and creating history. Directed by Sukumar, the film hit theaters on December 5 and has since become a massive success. The dynamic pairing of Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna has struck a chord with audiences yet again, contributing to the film’s extraordinary run.
On Sunday, Pushpa 2 achieved a historic milestone, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film of all time. The film surpassed SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster Baahubali 2, which held the record for the last seven years. Pushpa 2 has amassed a staggering ₹1,062.9 crore in just 18 days.
Dominance in the Hindi Belt
While Pushpa 2 has seen incredible success across India, its performance in the Hindi-speaking regions has been particularly remarkable. The film has become the highest-grossing Hindi-dubbed movie, collecting ₹679.65 crore in 18 days. It even earned ₹10.65 crore during its paid previews. On its opening day, the movie shattered multiple records by raking in ₹164.25 crore at the Indian box office.
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 earned ₹33.25 crore on its 18th day alone, further solidifying its place in the annals of Indian cinema history.
Breaking ‘Baahubali 2’ Records
Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has dethroned SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2, which earned ₹1,030.42 crore across all languages in India. With ₹1,062.9 crore in collections so far, Pushpa 2 is now the highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
