CDS General Anil Chauhan Inaugurates Asia’s Largest Inter-College Tech and Entrepreneurship Fest ‘Techkriti 2025’ at IIT Kanpur

New Delhi: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan inaugurated Techkriti 2025, Asia’s largest inter-college technology and entrepreneurship festival, at IIT Kanpur. During a fireside chat, he shared insights on the need for advancements and modernization in the Indian Armed Forces. He discussed emerging challenges in future warfare, particularly in cyber, artificial intelligence, quantum, and cognitive domains.

In his address, General Chauhan emphasized the importance of technological progress, strategic thinking, and adaptability in tackling future security challenges. Highlighting the values of discipline, generosity, courage, and sacrifice, he inspired scholars, students, and NCC cadets in attendance. His motivational words at Techkriti 2025 encouraged students to explore careers in defense and technology.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, AOC-in-C, Central Air Command, and Professor Manindra Agrawal, Director of IIT Kanpur, along with other distinguished guests. This year’s theme, “Panta Rhei” (Everything Flows), symbolizes the continuous evolution of technology and innovation. Techkriti 2025 aims to push the boundaries of discovery and innovation while fostering technology, entrepreneurship, and collaboration.

A key highlight of Techkriti 2025 was the defense exhibition featuring a special segment, “Rakshakriti”, dedicated to showcasing cutting-edge defense technologies. Strengthening synergy between the armed forces, academia, and the defense industry, General Chauhan engaged with emerging technologists. The event provided an excellent platform for researchers to connect with industry leaders, facilitating advancements in autonomous drones and other critical technologies to bolster national security and reduce import dependency.
