Decline in Hindus Poses a Threat to National Identity: Dr. Surendra Jain

Mahakumbh Nagar (UP) :  In the second session of the central board meeting of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), a resolution was passed expressing deep concern over the declining Hindu population growth rate, disintegration of Hindu families, rising live-in relationships, and increasing drug addiction among the youth. The resolution urged the young generation to recognize these challenges and take responsibility for addressing them.

Speaking at a press conference in Prayagraj on Friday, VHP’s Joint General Secretary Dr. Surendra Jain stated that Hindu youth have always risen to the challenges faced by the nation. However, the growing population imbalance is proving to be detrimental to the very existence of Hindu society. A declining Hindu population has multidimensional consequences, and since Hindus represent the identity of this country, their reduction would pose a serious threat to India’s identity and existence. To prevent this crisis, Hindu youth must take the initiative.

Dr. Jain further remarked that delayed marriages and misleading concepts of a so-called bright future have led to lower birth rates among Hindu couples. VHP emphasized that getting married by the age of 25 is crucial in the present scenario.

Scientific studies, Dr. Jain pointed out, confirm that for the holistic development of children, every family should have at least two or three children. The resolution also highlighted that the lack of Hindu cultural values is endangering the family structure. Increasing influence of Western materialism, urban Naxal conspiracies, and global corporate groups through entertainment and advertisements is misleading the youth and distancing them from their traditional values. As a result, extramarital and live-in relationships are on the rise. VHP urged the youth to return to their roots to ensure a happy family life, while also providing social and emotional security to children and the elderly.

VHP Expresses Concern Over Rising Drug Addiction Among Youth – Population Imbalance a Threat to Hindu Society’s Existence

VHP also raised serious concerns about the growing trend of drug addiction in the country, revealing that over 160 million people are now dependent on drugs, reflecting the severity of the issue. The organization urged young individuals to stay away from drugs and contribute to making their educational institutions, cities, and states drug-free. It encouraged them to collaborate with Bajrang Dal, Durga Vahini, and other affiliated groups to curb this menace.

Additionally, VHP called upon governments to clamp down on the nexus between drug cartels and terrorists and implement strict laws to eliminate the drug trade completely. The organization has resolved to launch mass awareness campaigns through its thousands of units, satsang gatherings, and cultural training centers to mobilize youth against these dangerous trends.
