ICAI Postpones May 2025 CA Exams Amid National Security Concerns

New Delhi: In view of the current tense and extraordinary security situation in the country, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has taken a significant decision. ICAI announced through its official Twitter (X) handle that the Final, Intermediate, and Post Qualification Course (PQC) exams for the May 2025 session have been postponed from May 9 to May 14, 2025.

The institute further clarified that the International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT) also falls under the scope of this postponement. The decision has been taken to ensure the safety of students and to avoid any disruptions in the conduct of examinations.

In its official tweet, ICAI stated:

“In view of the tense security situation in the country, the remaining papers of CA Final, Intermediate, and PQC examinations [International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT)] scheduled from May 9, 2025, to May 14, 2025, have been postponed.”

Final, Intermediate, and PQC papers from May 9 to May 14 will not be conducted

ICAI also confirmed that the revised exam dates will be announced soon on the official website, and students will be informed individually via email and SMS.

Students have been urged not to panic and to stay updated through the ICAI’s website and official social media handles.

This decision has provided temporary relief to lakhs of students, though they now await further notification regarding the new examination schedule.
