Jharkraft’s Organic Silk Winning Hearts Worldwide
New Delhi: Nature’s creations are often priceless and beneficial to life, which is why products made from natural materials hold special appeal. At the Jharkhand pavilion in the Trade Fair, Jharkraft’s stall showcasing organic silk has become a major attraction for visitors. Known globally for its organic silk products, Jharkraft avoids using any chemicals in its production process—from extracting yarn from cocoons to creating fabrics.
The dyes used are derived from natural sources such as marigold flowers, palash, tea leaves, and cinnamon. Additionally, the printed designs on the fabrics reflect the traditional art of Jharkhand, often inspired by local festivals and rituals.
Natural Excellence at the Forefront
Jharkraft’s Manager, Mrityunjay Thakur, highlighted that Jharkraft is an initiative of the Jharkhand government aimed at promoting organic products. At this year’s World Trade Fair, Jharkraft is showcasing a wide range of items, including Eri silk, Tussar silk, cotton sarees, dupattas, bedsheets, shirting fabrics, and other personal-use items, with prices ranging from ₹180 to ₹15,500. To attract more customers, the stall is also offering a 25% discount on select products this year.
Visitors at the trade fair have shown immense enthusiasm for the stall, appreciating the sustainable and eco-friendly approach. By blending traditional techniques with organic processes, Jharkraft not only supports local artisans but also promotes a lifestyle in harmony with nature.
