Kejriwal Fears Losing Political Ground in Punjab After Delhi: Virendra Sachdeva

New Delhi: Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has claimed that after being rejected by the people of Delhi, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal now fears losing his political relevance in Punjab as well. According to Sachdeva, Kejriwal is preparing to camp in Punjab to prevent this downfall.

In a statement on Sunday, Virendra Sachdeva said that Kejriwal, entangled in multiple scams in Delhi, kept boasting about his so-called honesty until the final moments of the February 5 elections, but the people of Delhi showed him the door.

The Delhi BJP chief further stated that after Kejriwal’s so-called honesty was exposed in Delhi, he is now trying to repeat the same story in Punjab. He remarked that when Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann talk about issues like drug abuse and corruption, people simply laugh at them.

Sachdeva also pointed out that Kejriwal’s promises to eradicate drug abuse and corruption in Punjab mirror his 2021 campaign. At that time, both Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann had assured the people that Punjab would be drug-free within six months of AAP’s rule. However, even after three years, they are once again asking for more time.

He further ridiculed Kejriwal’s latest pledge to eliminate corruption in Punjab, stating that not just Punjab or Delhi, but people across the country were shocked by his hypocrisy. Despite traveling across India claiming to run an “honest government” in Delhi and Punjab, the reality has been exposed, he added.

Virendra Sachdeva concluded by saying that the way Delhi voters punished Kejriwal in the recent elections, the same fate awaits Bhagwant Mann in Punjab’s 2027 elections.
