KTS 3.0 : Students, Teachers, and Writers from Tamil Nadu Arrive in Kashi

Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) : The first group of students, teachers, and writers has arrived in Varanasi to take part in Kashi Tamil Sangam 3.0. Organized under the initiative of the Union Ministry of Education, this event aims to fulfill the visionary aspirations of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, Shri Vineet Joshi, along with Additional Secretary Shri Sunil Kumar Barnwal, Director Shri Manmohan Singh, and local administration officials, were present to extend a warm welcome to the group.
At Banaras station, a red carpet was rolled out to welcome the first group, who were greeted with flower showers and garlands amid the chanting of Swastika mantras. Some delegates joyfully danced to the rhythmic beats of the drums. The welcome resonated with the phrase “Vanakkam Kashi.”
Expressing gratitude, a young delegate remarked, “I feel fortunate, as not everyone gets this opportunity. I am on a four-day visit to explore the historical ties between North and South India.” Another student shared, “I am thrilled to take a dip in the Maha Kumbh. Visiting Ayodhya has been my dream, and now it will come true. I sincerely thank the Government of India for this wonderful initiative connecting two great states.”
During their four-day stay, delegates will visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Annapurna Temple, Namo Ghat, Ramnagar, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and the residence of Subramania Bharati at Hanuman Ghat. Following the academic sessions, they will participate in the Maha Kumbh bath and proceed to Ayodhya for the darshan of Shri Ram Lala. After completing their pilgrimage, they will return to Banaras station and depart for Tamil Nadu.
