Prime Minister Salutes Armed Forces on One Year of Operation Sindoor
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tribute to the courage, precision and unwavering resolve of India’s armed forces as the nation marked one year of Operation Sindoor.
The Prime Minister said the armed forces had delivered a strong and decisive response to those who dared to attack innocent Indians in Pahalgam.
He described Operation Sindoor as a symbol of India’s firm action against terrorism and its unwavering commitment to national security. According to him, the operation highlighted the professionalism, preparedness and coordinated strength of the armed forces.
Mr. Modi noted that the operation also demonstrated growing synergy among the armed forces and reflected how India’s push for self-reliance in the defence sector has significantly strengthened national security capabilities.
Reaffirming India’s commitment to defeating terrorism, the Prime Minister said the country remains resolute in dismantling the entire ecosystem that enables and supports terror activities.
He stated that during Operation Sindoor, the armed forces displayed exceptional bravery and gave a fitting response to those who targeted the people of India. “Every Indian is proud of our armed forces,” he said.
Expressing gratitude and respect for the armed forces, the Prime Minister urged citizens to change their display pictures on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp to the commemorative image shared by him as a mark of solidarity and tribute.
In a post on X, Mr. Modi wrote that a year ago, during Operation Sindoor, India’s armed forces demonstrated unparalleled courage, precision and determination, delivering a fitting response to those responsible for attacking innocent Indians in Pahalgam.
He further said the operation underscored India’s zero-tolerance approach toward terrorism and reaffirmed the nation’s steadfast resolve to eliminate not only acts of terror but also the entire support structure that sustains them.
