Sanjay Raut Targets BJP Over Alleged Ram Temple Donation Fraud, Demands Impartial Probe
New Delhi: Political tensions have escalated over the alleged fraud involving donations collected for the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is probing the case, has so far arrested eight accused. Amid the ongoing investigation, Shiv Sena (UBT) senior leader Sanjay Raut launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and called for a fair and impartial investigation into the matter.
Speaking to the media, Raut said the issue was not limited to any one political party but was linked to the sentiments of the entire nation. He questioned the credibility of the current investigation and stressed that the probe should be conducted under the supervision of an authority trusted by all stakeholders to ensure complete transparency and public confidence in the judicial process.
Raises Allegations Against BJP
Raut alleged that the sanctity of Ayodhya, one of Hinduism’s holiest pilgrimage sites, was being tarnished due to allegations of financial irregularities linked to the Ram Temple donation campaign. He accused the BJP of shielding those responsible and asserted that anyone found guilty of financial misconduct should face strict legal action.
Refers to Remarks by Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and Bageshwar Baba
The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader also referred to statements allegedly made by BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and spiritual leader Bageshwar Baba, claiming that some individuals had expressed fear of naming those involved. Raut questioned the source of such fear and demanded that the matter also be investigated.
Calls for Respecting Sentiments Linked to the Ram Temple Movement
Raut said the Ram Temple movement was built on the faith and sacrifices of millions of devotees and activists. He emphasized that any allegations of financial irregularities related to the temple project must be investigated in a transparent and impartial manner to preserve public trust and respect the sentiments associated with the movement.
The alleged Ram Temple donation fraud case is currently under investigation by the SIT, which has arrested eight individuals so far. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are continuing to examine the allegations.
