Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd Offers Tatkal Electricity Connections within 24 Hours for Ram Leela, Durga Puja and Other Festivities
New Delhi : Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL), a leading power utility supplying electricity to a population of around 9 million in North Delhi, has made all arrangements to offer ‘tatkal’ electricity connections to organizers of Ram Leela, Durga Puja and other festivals within 24 hours.
Organizers looking to obtain a ‘tatkal’ temporary electricity connection from Tata Power-DDL simply need to visit the nearest Tata Power-DDL Customer Care Center at the division office to complete the requisite formalities. Alternatively, consumers can also apply for and make payments for the temporary connection online through Tata Power-DDL’s official
To facilitate a smooth process and hassle-free experience, meters are readily available at zonal offices. Once the customer submits the application along with the demand note, the meter will be installed by Tata Power-DDL.
Prioritizing the safety of attendees at large public events, Tata Power-DDL’s dedicated team is systematically inspecting critical electrical infrastructure, including poles, streetlights, towers, wires, substations and feeder pillars, to identify and rectify safety hazards, if any. It has also issued an advisory to consumers to take due precautions with electrical wiring and avoid loose connections, as these can lead to accidents. It is also crucial to install an ELCB (Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker) to protect both people and equipment from electrical shocks and fires by detecting and stopping electrical currents that leak to the ground.
