Veterans Share Their Experiences, Salute the Spirit of Patriotism
New Delhi: Veterans reminisced about their service days, sharing experiences from a time when patriotism pulsed through their hearts, and courage to face every challenge was deeply ingrained. These sentiments were expressed during a seminar titled “Our Veterans – Our Pride” organized by the Panchkosi Foundation at Jai Vihar Extension, Baprola.
Over two dozen veterans participated in the event, recounting their roles in the 1971 India-Pakistan War, the Kargil War, border patrol duties, and emergency situations. Their stories filled the audience with pride and inspiration. Local veterans such as Rajhans, Devendra Singh Gusain, Dharma Singh, B.D. Joshi, P.C. Joshi, S.K. Mandal, Umesh Kumar, J.S. Rawat, S.K. Tiwari, Chandra Bhakt, Laxman Tiwari, Ram Sajeevan, Dilip Singh Tanwar, Narendra Kothari, Manish Rathore, Ramesh Chandra, Joginder Singh, and Gajendra Kumar were among the participants.
On this occasion, Panchkosi Foundation President Sushil Kumar Dev announced that all these veterans would be honored during the Republic Day celebrations on January 19, 2025. He shared that the Foundation celebrates Republic Day and Independence Day as festivals every year, featuring various competitions, art exhibitions, and grand patriotic cultural performances by school children.
Everyone present at the event applauded the contributions of the veterans and called for drawing inspiration from their experiences. The Panchkosi Foundation’s efforts not only honor these veterans but also aim to instill a sense of patriotism and dedication in future generations.
