Zareen Khan praises Guneet Monga’s passion for storytelling, says she desires to work with her
Mumbai : Zareen Khan’s illustrious career in Bollywood boasts of substantial films, which sheds light on the actress’ capability of making careful choice of movies. The actress has never shied away from exploring the realm of cinema to its fullest. While talking about her wish-list of filmmakers, Zareen said she wants to collaborate with women filmmakers. She shared that she wants to be a part of a vision that is completely driven by women, which she hasn’t explored in her career so far.
When asked if she has a specific filmmaker in her mind, Zareen was quick to take Guneet Monga’s name. She called the Oscar-winning filmmaker the “driving force” behind bringing women stories and supporting women filmmakers. The ‘Veer’ actress was all praise for the Oscar-winning producer, “Guneet’s passion for storytelling is truly inspiring. Her ability to bring diverse and compelling stories to life is unmatched. Be it ‘Kathal’, ‘Pagglait’, ‘Masaan’, Oscar-winning ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ documentary or the latest release ‘Kill’, her body of work reflects artistic creativity with a strong social conscience, making her a leading figure in the world of filmmaking.”
The actress also praised Guneet for being one of the filmmakers who have been able to blur the lines of commercial and artistic cinema. While one wishes to see more of Zareen on the big screens, the actress’ desire to join hands with one of the ace filmmakers has piqued excitement among the masses. On the work front, Zareen has a couple of projects in the pipeline, which she will be announcing soon.
