Prime Minister Pays Tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee at ‘Sadaiv Atal’

New Delhi: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tribute to former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the occasion of his birth anniversary at his memorial, ‘Sadaiv Atal’, in Delhi. Remembering Vajpayee’s immense contributions, the Prime Minister said that his entire life was dedicated to public service and nation-building, and that he will continue to inspire generations of Indians.
After offering floral tributes, Prime Minister Modi also shared his thoughts on social media platform X. He wrote that it was a privilege to pay homage to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his memorial on his birth anniversary. The Prime Minister noted that Vajpayee’s life stood as a symbol of dedication to the nation, firmness of ideals, and unwavering commitment to democratic values.
In his message, the Prime Minister said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was not only a visionary statesman but also a sensitive poet, a powerful orator, and a leader who always placed national interest above all else. His ideas, values, and works, he added, continue to serve as a guiding light for the country.
On the occasion of Vajpayee’s birth anniversary, various programmes were organised across the country to commemorate his legacy and pay tribute to his contributions. The Prime Minister’s homage at ‘Sadaiv Atal’ was seen as a symbol of the nation’s gratitude and respect for one of India’s most revered leaders.
