Meerut: Several long-pending issues concerning employees and organisational matters were taken up for discussion during the second day of the two-day Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the All India CGHS Employees’ Association (AICGHSEA) in Meerut.

The official meeting was held under the chairmanship of National President Swapnil Shinde and the leadership of National General Secretary Shashikant Sharma with Dr Manisha Mittal, Additional Director, CGHS Meerut. The meeting began at 11 am and continued until 4 pm, with detailed discussions held over several rounds.

Meerut Branch President and Senior Pharmacist Neeraj Pal Singh, Branch General Secretary Sachin Tomar, along with other national and CWC office-bearers, participated in the meeting.

Key Decisions on Pending Issues

According to the association, several concrete decisions were taken on long-pending employee and organisational matters. The key decisions include:

• The transfer of Neeraj Pal Singh, Senior Pharmacist and President of the Meerut Branch, to the Additional Director’s office will be carried out within 15 days.
• The salary of Sachin Tomar, General Secretary of the Meerut Branch, will be released, and he will be posted at the Additional Director’s office.
• The transfer of Tarun Kumar, JHAA, to Makrera has already been completed.
• The Service Confirmation/Probation process for employees will be completed by the end of the coming month.
• Various CGHS dispensaries will be inspected and action will be taken to provide air-conditioning facilities where required.
• An additional pharmacist post will be made available at the Civil Lines Dispensary.
• The Meerut Branch of AICGHSEA will be informed whenever office orders concerning employees are issued.

The association said that the decisions taken during the meeting were recorded in the official Minutes of Meeting, issued by Dr Manisha Mittal, Additional Director, CGHS Meerut.

Focus on Organisational Rights and Employee Welfare

During the meeting, National General Secretary Shashikant Sharma also raised issues concerning the organisational rights and responsibilities of association office-bearers.

He said the association has consistently taken up matters relating to the organisational responsibilities of employee association office-bearers with the administration in accordance with the provisions of the Recognition of Service Associations (RSA) Rules, 1993.

Sharma said the objective of the organisation is not confrontation with the administration, but to ensure the protection of the association’s recognition, organisational responsibilities of its office-bearers and employee interests in accordance with the applicable rules.

Organisation Monitoring Matters in Shillong and Ahmedabad

The National General Secretary also said that issues concerning the posting of association office-bearers in Shillong and Ahmedabad are under the organisation’s consideration. He expressed the expectation that necessary action would be taken in these matters in accordance with the applicable rules and organisational interests.

Following the official meeting, an internal CWC meeting was held, during which other pending issues and the organisation’s future course of action were discussed in detail.
