Delhi Elections: BJP Releases Manifesto-2, Promises Free Education from KG to PG for Needy Students
New Delhi : In line with its promises, the Bharatiya Janata Party today released the second part of its manifesto for the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections. The manifesto promises free education from Kindergarten to Postgraduate level for needy students. Additionally, it announces a ₹15,000 financial aid for youth preparing for competitive exams. The manifesto was released by senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Anurag Thakur.
At the event held at the party’s state headquarters, Anurag Thakur stated that the manifesto would lead to the development of Delhi. He said that if the BJP forms the government, Delhi’s youth will receive ₹15,000 financial assistance for competitive exam preparation, along with reimbursement for travel and application fees twice. A new BR Ambedkar Stipend Scheme will be launched for technical and vocational courses in Delhi, under which Scheduled Caste students studying in ITIs, skill centers, etc., will receive a stipend of ₹1,000 per month.
Youth to Receive ₹15,000 Financial Aid for Competitive Exam Preparation
Anurag Thakur also mentioned the establishment of an Auto Taxi Driver Welfare Board, which will provide insurance coverage up to ₹10 lakh, accident insurance up to ₹5 lakh, and scholarships for their children to pursue higher education. He further announced the formation of a Domestic Workers Welfare Board, which will provide life insurance up to ₹10 lakh and accident insurance up to ₹5 lakh for domestic workers.
The senior BJP leader highlighted that the party has eradicated middlemen in the past ten years. He accused the Aam Aadmi Party government of waiving off crores of rupees for the liquor mafia during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also questioned why the CAG report had not been presented in the Legislative Assembly.
It is noteworthy that BJP National President JP Nadda had released the first part of the party’s manifesto for the Delhi elections on Friday, during which he had announced that two more parts of the manifesto would be released.
