New Delhi : After Pathaan and Vedaa, actor John Abraham is all set to return to the silver screen. The teaser of his upcoming film The Diplomat has been released. The nearly one-minute teaser begins with a clip of India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, in which he states that the world’s greatest diplomats were Lord Krishna and Lord Hanuman. Following this, John Abraham makes a powerful entry on screen. In this film, he plays the lead role of JP Singh.

The teaser also features a woman wearing a burqa, claiming to be an Indian citizen. In the next scene, John Abraham is seen interrogating her, demanding the truth. Soon after, it is revealed that the ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) is after him. In response, John delivers a gripping dialogue:
“This is Pakistan, son. Whether it’s a man or a horse, nothing moves straight; it always moves two and a half steps ahead.”

Directed by Shivam Nair, The Diplomat is set to release on March 7. The film’s story, screenplay, and dialogues are written by Ritesh Shah, while Dimo Popov has handled cinematography. The music is composed by A.R. Rahman, with lyrics penned by Manoj Muntashir. The movie also stars Revathi, Kumud Mishra, and Sharib Hashmi in crucial roles.

Regarding John Abraham’s recent work, he was last seen in Vedaa, alongside Sharvari Wagh. However, the film failed at the box office. Now, John has high hopes for The Diplomat. The inclusion of Jaishankar’s clip in the teaser suggests that the filmmakers have strategically planned the movie’s promotion.
