Online Registration Begins for Delhi Lakshmi Yojana; Eligible Women to Receive ₹2,500 Every Month: CM Rekha Gupta

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced that August 1 marks the beginning of a new chapter of dignity, empowerment, and self-reliance for women in the national capital. She said that the online registration portal for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana has officially been launched.

The Chief Minister stated that under the scheme, every eligible woman will receive ₹2,500 per month as financial assistance. She described the initiative as more than just monetary support, calling it a significant step towards strengthening women’s confidence, independence, and economic empowerment.

Financial Support for Women

Rekha Gupta said that for some women, this would be their first personal savings, while for others it would help cover essential expenses such as medicines, children’s education, or household needs. She added that the scheme aims to reduce women’s financial dependence on others for their day-to-day requirements.

According to the Chief Minister, the monthly assistance will boost women’s confidence, enhance their decision-making ability, and enable them to lead a more independent and dignified life.

Online Registration Now Open

The Delhi Government has urged all eligible women to complete their registration through the official Delhi Lakshmi Yojana portal to ensure they receive the benefits of the scheme without delay.

A Major Step Towards Women’s Empowerment

The Delhi Government said the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana is an important initiative aimed at promoting women’s economic empowerment, social security, and inclusive development. The scheme is also expected to contribute significantly to the government’s vision of building a “Viksit Delhi” (Developed Delhi).
