Several Top Web Series Nominated for IIFA’s Best Series Category

New Delhi :  The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) has announced the nominations for the Best Series category, featuring several outstanding web series. Among the top contenders are Anubhav Sinha’s IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi.

IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack is a gripping six-episode series based on the true story of the 1999 hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814. Meanwhile, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi created a global sensation upon its release. Another notable nominee is TVF’s Panchayat, a comedy-drama that follows the journey of an engineering graduate who becomes a village secretary. The show has been widely appreciated for its realistic portrayal of rural India and its heartwarming characters.

Other major nominees in this category include Mumbai Diaries (Season 2), which offers a compelling depiction of the lives of doctors and medical professionals in a bustling metropolitan hospital. Additionally, Guns & Gulaabs, a unique crime thriller set in the 1990s, blends suspense and humor seamlessly.

The 25th edition of the IIFA Awards will be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, from March 7 to March 9, 2025, where the winners will be announced.
