Wave Riders Lift TGCL Season 4 Championship at Jaypee Greens, Noida
Noida: Wave Riders, owned by Wave Group – Wave City, emerged as the champions of the 4th edition of The Golf Championship League (TGCL), delivering a comprehensive victory after four days of intense and competitive golf at the Jaypee Greens Golf Course, Noida.
Competing in the challenging Ryder Cup-style team format, Wave Riders displayed exceptional consistency, teamwork and competitive spirit throughout the tournament before sealing the championship with a convincing performance in the final.
The championship-winning team featured an impressive combination of professional and amateur golfers. The professional contingent included Ridhima Dilawari and Jaismin Shekher among the female professionals, and Shaurya Bhattacharya and Arjun Sharma among the male professionals.
A major highlight of the tournament was Ridhima Dilawari’s spectacular hole-in-one, adding a memorable individual achievement to the team’s successful campaign.
Strong leadership was another key factor behind Wave Riders’ success. Captain Simarjeet and Vice-Captain Ashish Kapoor played an important role in keeping the team focused, motivated and strategically aligned through the four-day competition.
The team also had the privilege of featuring Indian sporting legend Zafar Iqbal as its celebrity player, adding further excitement and star power to the Wave Riders campaign.
