Delhi CM Must Answer Why Her Parents Defended Parliament Attack Convict Afzal Guru: Virendra Sachdeva

New Delhi: On the anniversary of the Parliament attack, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has demanded an explanation from Chief Minister Atishi regarding her parents’ alleged efforts to defend Afzal Guru, the mastermind behind the attack.

During a press conference on Friday, Sachdeva said, “Today marks the anniversary of the attack on Parliament. Along with the rest of the nation, the people of Delhi are paying homage to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect our Parliament.”

Sachdeva urged CM Atishi to condemn the Parliament attack and its conspirator, Afzal Guru. He stated, “On this day every year, the people of Delhi are reminded of the actions of Atishi Marlena’s parents, Vijay Singh and Tripta Wahi, who defended the perpetrators of the Parliament attack and filed a petition to the President on their behalf.”

The Delhi BJP president further added, “The citizens of Delhi want Chief Minister Atishi Marlena to clarify her stance on her parents’ role in defending Afzal Guru and other convicts of the Parliament attack.”

Virendra Sachdeva called upon the Chief Minister to publicly denounce both the attack and those who were responsible for it.
