New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal has not got relief from the special court. He will have to surrender on Sunday, June 2 and go to Tihar Jail. Earlier on Saturday, Rouse Avenue Court heard the bail plea on medical grounds. After the hearing, special judge Kaveri Baweja reserved the decision till June 5.
Kejriwal had sought seven-day bail from the court so that he could get his medical test done. But the Enforcement Directorate i.e. ED opposed his appeal in the court. It is noteworthy that Kejriwal was arrested on March 21. The Supreme Court had granted him interim bail on May 10, which is ending on June 1. They will have to surrender on June 2.

In Saturday’s hearing, ED claimed in the court that Kejriwal has suppressed facts and given false statements regarding his health. His weight has increased by one kilo, but he is falsely claiming that his weight has reduced by seven kilos. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the court that Kejriwal also made a misleading claim in the press conference on May 31 that he was going to surrender on June 2.
