However, their relationship eventually fell apart due to Salman’s reportedly aggressive behavior and the way he treated Aishwarya. Recently, Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend, actress Somy Ali, shared previously unknown stories about Salman and Aishwarya’s relationship.

After parting ways with Salman, Aishwarya went on to marry actor Abhishek Bachchan, and the couple now has a daughter named Aaradhya. Salman Khan, on the other hand, remains unmarried. Before his romance with Aishwarya began, Salman was in a relationship with Somy Ali.

In a recent interview, Somy Ali spoke about how Salman and Aishwarya’s relationship developed. She revealed that while Salman was filming Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, she tried calling him, but he didn’t pick up.

Somy further shared, “When I called Salman, he was on set, and he didn’t answer. Then I called Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and he said, ‘He can’t talk to you right now because he’s in the middle of a shot.’ I responded by asking, ‘If he’s in a shot, why are you answering the phone?’ Bhansali didn’t know how to respond to that.”

During the interview, Somy mentioned that Aishwarya had started visiting Salman’s gym at Galaxy Apartments, where both of them lived on the ground floor. When asked if Salman and Aishwarya’s love story began in the gym, Somy clarified, “No, they fell in love during the shooting of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. I was getting information from insiders who were on my side. I sensed that something was happening in their relationship. Later, I realized we wouldn’t last long.”

Aishwarya Rai has never publicly commented on the relationship after her breakup with Salman Khan. However, in a 2002 interview, Aishwarya revealed the reasons behind the split. She spoke about how she stood by Salman through his worst moments, but in return, he treated her disrespectfully.
